Just a little update

Not a whole lot is going on here, but these are some recent pictures of Paige. Nate has gotten her addicted to chewing on apples, and whenever we are eating one she starts staring intensely and opening her mouth from across the room. I started training at the tanning salon this week and its pretty fun so far. I will only be working Saturdays, so it shouldn't cut into my social life (Paige) too much.

Paige loves eating.

A couple weeks ago we started Paige on rice cereal and fruit. She loves it. Its fun to see her get so excited when I start mixing up her cereal. She was really messy at first, but now she's got it down pretty well. She eats a lot! Just like her mommy. "Lay off me I'm starving!"

These are some pictures from her first couple feedings.

I got a job today!

The picture above describes my job exactly. Minus the beach. And the ocean. And palm trees. Here's the story: I've been thinking about getting a (very part-time) job for a while now and today I did it! I wanted something laid-back, easy, fun, and with no real commitment. What else could I be describing but... a tanning salon! Duh! :) You probably think I'm lame, but I'm pretty excited about this. Its called Riviera Tanning and Skin Care and its less than 1 minute from our apartment. Its perfect hours, free-tanning (I promise not to turn into a raisin), and the girls are all super nice. Plus, I get to just work the salon by myself, which I actually like. In answer to your question... Yes, I do feel weird about being an accomplice to skin cancer. About that... I have no comment.

We bought a house!!

Well, its not a house yet. Here's the story...
Last week we officially put an end to our obsessive house-hunting. Phew! We found a great house plan that was in the beginning stages of building, so we snatched it up. Its in a cul-de-sac, which we like, and we really love the layout of the house. So far, its just a foundation, but it should be completed no later than July. Hopefully sooner. The builders gave us a "worst case scenario" of July so that we will be really impressed if its done sooner, instead of being mad if it takes longer than planned. I really can't wait to move in. We've been obsessed with buying a house in this specific neighborhood ever since we moved here and now we won't have to obsess anymore.
Luckily, we were able to tour a house that is the same plan as ours, but already finished and in a different neighborhood. Otherwise I would have been scared to buy something that I couldn't even picture. The pictures above are what our home should look like... except with different colors schemes and stuff. I hope July comes quickly, but based on my experience with time, its gonna come at the same rate of speed as it did last year. :)

"Everyone is doing it..."

Well, I noticed that just about everyone has a blog these days, and it looked like fun, so here I am. I'm not extremely creative or funny, as you may already know... but you should read my posts anyway, ok? Thanks! :)
Here's an update on our lives at the moment: Nate and I moved from Hawaii to Liberty Lake, WA (near Spokane) in July 2007 and we really like it here. We had a baby girl named Paige Kennedy on July 17th. We love her to death and we have so much fun watching her grow and change everyday. Nate is working as a sales rep for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and he really enjoys it. I am being a mom, and trying to finish my last few online classes so that I can get my psychology degree from BYU-Hawaii. Things are going well and we're happy!
