Update on our house
This is what it will look like in the end... minus the snow.
They have been building our house for less than 2 weeks and this is how far they've gotten. It's crazy how fast it goes! It should be done in late June.Thursday, March 13, 2008
Dang it.
So, Nate and I really don't do much on a day-to-day basis. We are pretty boring. So we were so excited to go on this cruise next month and get outta here. The cruise tickets were a pretty good deal and the flight was not bad at all. But things kept coming up to thwart our plans. (ie. passport problems, additional costs, etc.) The kicker was when we found out that we would have to pay for Paige as well. I was sure that infants were free, just like plane tickets. I don't know why I thought that, but when you think about it- she is not going to be eating any of their food or anything like that. Anyway, I think its ridiculous. So we kept putting off buying the cruise tickets because one thing after another seemed messed up. Finally, today I went to buy them and... surprise! They had gone up drastically! I knew it was gonna happen. We had waited so long. So that was the last straw. I wonder if the ship is gonna sink or something because I swear someone did not want us going on this cruise. Anyway, we're probably not going now and its back to doing nothing at all. Can anyone think of a hobby for us? What do people do with their lives? I feel so pathetic. I think it was easy to have fun in Hawaii and we never realized how lame we are in the real world.

And this is how it looks now! The basement is completely framed too. I bet the upper floor will be framed by the end of the week. I will keep you updated (yeah, I know you're not as excited as I am).

Passport to Mexico!!
Today we got passport photos taken for our cruise to Mexico next month. For some reason, I didn't even think Paige needed a passport. She's 7 1/2 months old for goodness sake. Anyway, it was so funny taking her picture at Walgreens. Nate held her up in front of the white screen and she was smiling and being cute, but you aren't allowed to smile in passport photos, so we waited until she made this perfect face. I thought it was so funny. I never thought we'd be getting a passport for little Paige!

Who eats more: I eat much more often, but Nate eats larger amounts at a time

Who is smarter: Definitely Nate. I will admit that.
Whose temper is worse: Mine for sure. Nate rarely gets mad or raises his voice.
Who does the laundry: Both of us. Nate always puts it in and then I have to put it all away, which is clearly the worst part.
Who does the dishes: Both of us, but probably me the most. He would say he does them more. False!
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: Nate (if you're laying in the bed)
Who pays the bills: Nate... always.
Who cooks dinner: I do for the most part. Or we each make our own since we often want different things for dinner.
Who drives when you are together: Nate. He hates it when I drive (and so do I).
Whose parents do you see most: Nate's- since mine are all the way in Texas and his are in Seattle.
Who proposed: Nate didn't really propose. He got the ring and I knew he had it, and he was taking FOREVER to propose, so I bugged him, and then he got annoyed and just gave it to me. Not how either of us imagined!!!
Who has more friends: Hmm... probably Nate. I'm kind of a loner.
Who has more siblings: Nate. He has 2 sisters and 3 brothers. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Who wears the pants in the family: I ultimately control... everything!! Bwa ha ha ha! Don't tell Nate. He hasn't realized it yet. I'd like to keep it that way. :)
