I feel HORRIBLE and I don't know how I can possibly survive this pregnancy. I have a toddler to take care of! Help!! Ok, now that I have that off my chest...
Have you heard of the Duggar family? They just had their 18th child. Its one thing to dedicate your life to raising children... that's a big sacrifice. But now that I'm pregnant, I realize that this lady has dedicated the last 20 years or so to BEING PREGNANT almost non-stop. Wow. Can you imagine that? Maybe she has the easiest pregnancies in the world, but still!! The ages of her children are: 20, 18, 18, 17, 16, 14, 13, 12, 11, 9, 9, 8, 7, 6, 4, 3, 1, and a newborn. OH MY GOSH!! She is either completely insane, or completely selfless. I'm gonna go with insane... just to make myself feel better.
P.S. I really am happy to be having another baby! If I could just skip the next couple months of sickness that would be awesome. That was my Christmas wish, but I guess Santa was busy this year.

My vote is she is insane! But, some women seem to breeze through pregnancy so I'm guessing she's one of them.
Sorry to hear that your feeling so sick. What have you tried to help the nausea?
I also vote insane. That's just sick to me.
But don't even try to deal with the nausea, you have a little one who needs your attention. Call your Dr. right away and tell him you're just too sick to function and need and RX, I lived off my anti-nausea pills and in fact just took one two days ago. They are harmless and work like a charm except they make you very sleepy so even though mine were small I still cut them into 4ths and even that small amount did the trick without knocking me out completely. Call your Doc.
insane...how could you even give all your kids the attention they need? Someone get that lady some birth control!!

I know it stinks ... but the end result is amazing ! ... and yes, I have seen that family on TLC ... and I think she is a bit of both!
i'm sorry ashley the first trimester does suck!!! it seems like it's never ending, so i hope yours gets better, or you can find a way to survive. i think the lady is a bit insane, all right CRAZY insane. but, that's just me b/c i have no idea how she would do it....over and over. i even had an easy pregnancy (except the 1st trimester) and i would NEVER be able to do it. keep your hopes up and feel better!
Ash! I am so sorry to hear how sick you are. I can't imagine being sick and taking care of a toddler-I totally feel for ya. I've also heard that your doc can prescribe nausea pills, its worth a try. I wish I was there to take Paige off of your hands for an afternoon. Hallie would love to play with her.
I'm so sorry you've been sick. Santa gave me a break for Christmas. I wasn't even sick for three days during Christmas, then when it was over, bam, sick again. It's hard raising kids when all you feel like doing is laying in bed ALL DAY!! Our house is a disaster, and my kids watch TV way too much, but I can't help it right now. I feel too horrible to be super mom. So try not to beat yourself up if you can't be all you can right now. Just rest as much as you possibly can! Good luck!
Okay, Ashley, you need to go to Target and get Sea Bands. They really work! They're for motion sickness, but they help with pregnancy sickness. I've heard so many women say they work, and going to get them tomorrow! You get them in the pharmacy section, and you have to ask for them, but you don't need a prescription. They're like 10 bucks. Also, suck on some peppermint or ginger candy, that helps sometimes too. Seriously, get the Sea Bands! I hope they work for you. I'll let you know if they work for me.
pregnancy sickness is the BEST sickness ever!! that's what i think, for real. and pregnancy pains, too ... the best. isn't it so crazy AMAZING to think a human is growing inside you!? that's crazy.
now to grow nearly 2 dozen humans ... whoa. she's incredibly patient, long suffering, etc. etc.
and insane.
Hey Ashley, I was just wondering if you're surviving because I am miserable! Sorry, I just need to vent. If I'm not sick and throwing up, I have horrible indigestion and am in fetal position for who knows how long. Will it ever go away!!!! Ahhh, that feels better. I don't complain to anyone else, but writing this down helps, knowing you're going through the same thing. Let me know how you're doing. My first appt is this Thursday. I can't wait! Hope you're doing well.
