Nightmares?

Last night I woke up to Paige yelling, "Mama!" in a shaky voice that I've never heard from her. She sounded really frantic. I ran to her room and she was sitting up in her crib saying, "scawee" (scary) in the saddest little voice. She really seemed scared, and I felt so bad. So I was thinking, was it a nightmare? What kind of nightmares could a 2 year old have?

Oh you never know, Patrick has woken up a couple times saying the weirdest things like pointing and saying "open it" who knows.

I totally believe that young kids have nightmares. I can remember being scared by a shadow in my room when I was only about 4 years old.

The other day Tripp was sound asleep on Nate's chest, perfectly content. Then woke up with the saddest cry, his eyes really big. It only took 30 seconds to calm him down and get back to sleep. But it was so sad. I wondered if it was a nightmare too. so sad.

That is so sad. Sometimes Hallie will cry a sad cry in her sleep but she hasn't ever been shook up like Paige was. What could possibly give them nightmares this young??

Bethelle had "night terrors" even younger than that, and we couldn't wake her up for about 15 minutes o screaming. It was very scary. She also told us once that she could see monsters in her mirror in her room. If I were you, I would be careful to limit her exposure to all the halloween stuff out there this season. Even the stuff in grocery stores can put thoughts in little kids' heads.

Noah wakes up screaming every night at 2am ... he usually goes back to bed but one night he won't up with a shrilling scream and trying to get out of his crib. I think he's afraid of the dark ... I know I used to be
