Luke's CT Scan

On Monday, December 22nd, we took Luke to Sacred Heart to get a CT scan. The specialist in Seattle wanted to be sure that his malformation wasn't any worse than they thought, and to make sure that his skull was completely intact. Thankfully, we heard back yesterday that it all looked good, and there were no surprises. So his surgery should be pretty straightforward. We are planning to have it done when he is between 6 months and 12 months old. We need to decided exactly when.

This is right before they put the IV in. He was so good! He wasn't able to eat for 5 hours beforehand, but he took it like a champ. He slept a lot and was really happy. His malformation looked abnormally large for some reason. It's usually not quite that big.

Our nurse was so nice and caring. Great guy.

For some reason, it was kinda sad watching him fall asleep from the drugs. He was such a little sweetie though. He didn't seem scared or anything.

This is him in the recovery room, slowly waking up.

Yeah that would be hard to see your little baby going under like that. I'm so glad he was in a good mood that day. I'm sure that made it much more bearable for you guys.

He is such a cute, sweet boy! I'm glad the results were as good as could be expected.
