While we were in California, we decided to go the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. We wanted to avoid the Disneyland crowds on the weekend, so this was a good option. This place was pretty impressive. They had lots of different exhibits. The girls really liked it. Nate loves aquariums, so he was excited about it too. The downside was that it was really, really crowded.
As much as I loved the warmth and all the activities in Southern California, it's sure a crowded place. Everywhere we went seemed to be just full of people. I like the slower pace of our life in Spokane.
They let you touch several different creatures here. It's pretty cool.
Paige was excited to see this little "Fairy Penguin" statue because she had just finished a report on this type of penguin at school.
