Nate has been really wanting to go back to Hawaii ever since we left (3 years ago), but we just haven't made it back. I definitely miss Hawaii too, but not nearly as much as him. So a few months ago he brought up the fact that he would have 6 weeks off for "Paternity Leave", and what a great time for him to go to Hawaii. I was like, "Ok, sure... as long as you are here with me for the first 5 weeks."What was I thinking?
He is leaving on Thursday morning, along with our Hawaii friend, Rob. (How do you feel about it, Brooke? :) They will be gone for 5 days. A few months ago, I would have been fine with it. But now that I have 2 little ones, things are a lot harder. I really didn't think it would be this difficult, and I completely forgot that you don't sleep well when you have a newborn. So yeah, it's gonna be rough. Just looking for some sympathy... Thanks. :)

I totally feel sorry for you. He's leaving you at home, sleep-deprived, and he'll be in HAWAII! He owes you big time :)~
Hey, I'm right there with you!!! I don't want them to leave! I feel for you b/c you have a NEWBORN, so I have no room to complain. I wish we lived close so that we could hang out the whole time. I keep wondering if I could just go too.......I'm sure Nate would LOVE that :) Anyways, I'll be at home without my husband too while they have a blast in Hawaii without us. Why did we agree to this??? I told Rob they better be planning another trip where we can all go in the future, cuz I'm just dreaming of beaches and ocean.
He seriously owes you a GREAT vacation :)
If they sleep here, I will wake up Tex every 4 hours. That boy knows how to cry. ;-) Or, get on that plane with him. He can sleep at the beach, you can sleep here, and I'll get up with your little one. I'd love to hold a newborn again.
But really, I do sympathize with you. I couldn't believe you were letting him go after just having a baby... he owes you BIZIG time. You are a more awesome wife than me!
Next trip you and Brooke come here..for real! Leave the kids or bring them. Either way it'll be fun!
I could skip my Friday class. Then I'd be able to be there for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday pretty much all day those days.
You are one kind woman! Nilesh will NEVER go to Hawaii without me- and never leave me with the kids right after giving birth or he'll find divorce papers waiting for him when he gets back!
