I was disappointed, but the truth is, I am really liking it here in Vancouver. I have started to make friends in our ward and I feel more at home. It definitely takes a year or more for me to feel comfortable in a new place, and it's been a year that we've been here. I feel good about staying here for a while. I'm thankful to be living in a place that I really like.
Unfortunately, a few weeks ago we told our landlord that we were moving and she found a new tenant very quickly, so we have to move out of our house at the end of this month. But I'm actually really excited about it because I found a good little house to rent down the street. It's still in our neighborhood, so we are in the same ward and school boundaries. And it's across the street from a nice park. It also has a larger yard, which will be great. It's not a big house, by any means, but it feels more spacious than the house we're in now.
Here are some pictures, for those who may care. :)

The new house looks sooo nice! I'm glad you found a good place with a nice big yard. And I'm glad you're liking it better there now:)
The exterior looks so much like the house we had in Covington. A very "Washsingtonesk" home.
I love that house! It's so cute and the layout seems really nice. I'm glad you are liking it better over there. That first year is always pretty rough. Glad to hear Nate's boss has gotten a grip and things are going better. We miss you lots over here, but it really does seem like you should be over there still. Don't worry, I'm planning on visiting this summer...I'll bring the kids too ;) Can't believe it's been a year since we've seen each other. Crazy.
That house looks great! It might be a pain to move but it will be fun to set things up and redecorate again. Good luck with everything!
I think that house is cute! You guys will be happy there I'm sure. Now that I know you are going to stay there for awhile, I want to come visit you there. I will try to drive there with Miguel and Trevor some time. If we did drive, we would go the slightly longer route through Coeur d'Alene and Spokane rather than the uglier route...
It would only cost $100 in gas to get there. That ain't bad.
The girls are going to love the yard!
really cute place
Boo that you aren't coming back! But yeah for getting more adjusted over there! Change is always so hard!!!
