I'm 37.5 weeks now and so ready to be done. The last couple weeks are rough! I'm so uncomfortable and sore and exhausted. I fall asleep randomly throughout the day. Pretty much every time I sit down.
I found out last week that I tested positive for Group B Strep. Dang it! The problem is that you're supposed to get 4 hours of IV antibiotics before the baby is born, or else the baby is at risk of getting the infection. They generally have to keep the baby an extra day if he/she doesn't get the antibiotics in time. My labors have been increasingly quick with each baby. Halle's was super fast, so I'm worried that this one will be also. My doctor, who is all about speeding things along, said that if I get induced, I can definitely get those drugs in time. So he's hinting towards that. I want our little guy to come on his own, but an induction is also tempting. I'm really not sure what I'll do.
Either way, he's coming soon! (ish) I wish it was tomorrow.

You look great Ashley! I'm sorry you are having a rough time- pregnancy can really suck at the end. Strep B is based on cultured levels though so you can have it now but not when you actually go into labour. Have you tried eating raw garlic? It can decrease your levels then ask to be tested again? I've had it with 3 of my children and it sucks (I didn't learn about the garlic until later on). I've gotten strep throat within weeks of each of the times I've had the antibiotics too- simply no fun. Whatever you choose I hope the labour and delivery go well for you.
