I'm officially in the 3rd trimester! Woohoo! I'm feeling pretty good overall. I have sciatic nerve pain, which I don't remember having with my other two, but it's not horrible. I'm so excited to have this baby. It seems like she should be coming any day now, but nope. I still have 12 more weeks. I just can't wait! I'm so thankful that things are going smoothly with this pregnancy. It's such a blessing.Sunday, February 12, 2012

Lately
Last Sunday I decided to make a chocolate cake, and Paige wanted to pretend like it was her birthday. So that's what we did.

Can you tell Paige is camera-shy?
24 weeks (6 months pregnant)
I'm 6 months pregnant now. Exciting! I can't wait to have this baby. 16 more weeks. Wow, that's a long time. I'm feeling pretty good. I'm really tired all the time, but I think that's pretty standard for pregnancy. I've been walking 3 miles 4 days a week with my friend, Jenny, and it feels good to be outside and getting active again. Thursday, January 12, 2012
Quotes by Kate
Kate yelled: "I change a diaper baby. Just a minute!" She sat there pretending to change her baby's diaper for quite a while.
Today I was putting Kate in her carseat and she was holding her baby doll. It was in the way of buckling the straps, so I picked it up and was holding it with my teeth for a minute. That sounds weird... I was out of hands, ya know?
Anyway, Kate said: "You bite baby! You being meeeem!" (mean) She was so disturbed that I was hurting her baby.

GRAPHIC VIDEO
I realize this is a very gross video, but Nate really wanted me to post it. Last night Kate slipped and fell in the tub and bit all the way through her tongue. It was really traumatic. I don't do well with stuff like that. I can never relax and think clearly in emergency situations. Thank goodness Nate was home. We decided to head to the ER even though we both thought there might not be anything they could do.
On the way, Nate called his brother who looked up cases on the internet and saw that usually they don't do stitches or anything and the tongue heals really fast, so we decided not to take her in. I wasn't sure if that was the right decision or not because it would still bleed when she would stick it out or even talk sometimes. But we decided to just give her some ibuprofin and put her to bed.
This morning it is not bleeding at all, but it's still a big open wound obviously. Nate has talked to a couple doctors that he knows and they think it will heal OK on it's own. I hope they're right. I feel so bad for her. She doesn't seem to be in pain, but it just looks really awful.
